Connor's Run

The RCD Foundation Robert - Connor Dawes, is a non-profit organisation that is extremely close to our heart here at Metalbird. One of our own team members, Harry introduced us to the charity and all that they do for paediatric brain cancer research, care and development. Harry himself, suffered from a brain tumour at just 16-years-old and ever since, has dedicated himself to supporting the RCD Foundation and other young patients facing the same cruel diagnosis.

As this is such an important cause we teamed up with the RCD Foundation to create multiple Metalbirds that are a tribute to Connor. One of which features three little birds as a reference to his favourite song by Bob Marley “Three Little Birds”.  For every sale of these creations, we donate 50% of the proceeds to the RCD Foundation. 

In addition, this year and the previous years, we take part in Connor’s Run – definitely more fun than run! This event takes place in Melbourne to raise much-needed funds for brain cancer research, care, and development. Over the years, the Connor’s Run event has been able to raise $4.3 million which the RCD Foundation has invested in world-class research and care projects.
