The RCD Foundation Robert - Connor Dawes, is a non-profit organisation that is extremely close to our heart. It was created in 2013, in memory of Robert ‘Connor’ Dawes who at just age 18 lost his 16-month fight with brain cancer. His mother (and all round superwoman) Liz Dawes, founded the RCD Foundation in his honour and now, she and her team selflessly devote their lives to helping others with brain cancer.
We were introduced to the RCD Foundation by one of our Metalbird team members, Harry Dunne. Harry suffered from a brain tumour at just 16-years-old, since then has dedicated himself to supporting the RCD Foundation and other young patients facing the same cruel diagnosis.
GO GREY IN MAY
May is Brain Cancer Awareness Month and supporting paediatric brain cancer research is a very important cause for us here at Metalbird. Together with the RCD Foundation, we have designed two special RCD Metalbirds and a new Plant Stake to enjoy every day in your garden, all as a tribute to Connor Dawes who lost his battle with brain cancer at the age of 18.
Metalbird is joining the cause by giving:
💰 50% of ALL sales from our RCD range will be donated to the RCD Foundation this month to help fund brain matter research.
👉10% of sales of ANY other Metalbirds will also be donated to RCD Foundation.
